LEGACY GIFT

I'M MAKING A LEGACY GIFT
Be part of BSF's legacy by creating an enduring impact. When you make a planned gift to BSF—through your will, retirement accounts, charitable trusts, or other giving strategies—you help ensure that future generations will experience the joy, challenge, and community of skiing in Bozeman.

Planned giving can offer meaningful tax benefits and may allow you to make a bigger impact than you thought possible. Every commitment, no matter the size or structure, builds BSF’s future.

Let us thank you: when you share your plans with us, you’ll become a member of the 1936 Club and have the opportunity to be recognized with a commemorative plaque at Bridger Bowl, Sunset Hills, or our new headquarters.

GET STARTED: Talk to your financial advisor about a giving plan that works for you. You can fill out this letter of intention once you're ready. (This is only used for record keeping and is confidential to the extent allowed by law.)

TYPES OF LEGACY GIFTS

Planned gifts come in many forms. Each can support our mission while offering potential tax benefits to you and your family.

Percentage bequest

Make a gift of a certain percentage of your overall estate (ex. leaving 10% of your estate to BSF).

Charitable gift annuity

A way to support BSF while receiving fixed payments for life, with the remaining funds benefiting the foundation after your lifetime.

STOCK

Make a gift of stock.

Residual bequest

make a gift by leaving a balance of your estate after specific bequests are met.

Qualified charitable distributions

If you're 70.5 or older, you can donate directly from your IRA to a nonprofit, satisfying all or part of your required minimum distribution.

Beneficiary Designations

You can name BSF as a beneficiary of your retirement account, life insurance policy, or donor-advised fund.
“Thank you for considering Bridger Ski Foundation in your estate planning. Your planned gift allows BSF to invest in our programs, increase scholarships, and to ensure the Community Nordic Trails remain accessible to all. BSF is proud of our almost 90-year history and we look forward to continuing to foster ski-culture, exceptional experiences, and healthy lifestyles across the Bozeman community.”
