The U19, U21 & PG Competitive (Comp) Team Programs gives athletes the opportunity and support to train 3 to 5 days a week. In addition to growing the love of ski racing, BSF coaches provide individual training plans, dryland and strength training, and on-snow time to help athletes develop their craft and reach their potential both on and off the hill.
Since there is a wide age range on the Comp Team, view the Long-Term Athlete Development Plans (LTAD) below to learn more. Athletes in these age groups will require personalization to their plans based on individual strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and goals.
BSF enjoys a unique relationship with the local high schools that fosters an early dismissal for afternoon conditioning and on-snow sessions. Students should be in good academic standing to make this work. Skiing at this level requires good time management skills to balance academics and athletics.
Dryland practices provide physical training to help prevent injuries and to build conditioning. (And it also provides for lots of outdoor fun with your team!) Pickup at the High School in the afternoon and return to the BSF office by 4 p.m. Two days are with professional trainers at Epic. The other two days are field based (hiking, biking, balance, agility, etc.). This is flexible based on athletes' schedules.
RACING

You can choose a U.S. Ski & Snowboard track, the FIS track, or both. How much you travel and/or race is up to you and is best discussed with your coach.
