Bozeman, Montana
The BSF Post Grad (PG) Team provides motivated U20 and U23 skiers an opportunity to continue their development. This program is well suited for high school graduates taking a gap year, college students taking a semester/year off from school, or for athletes planning to race for a NCAA college program in the future and who want to achieve Junior National success and/or World Junior/U23 Championships qualification.
You can expect a high level of professionalism and hard work (and fun) at practice, and race support at US Nationals, US Super Tours, as well as some regional JNQs, as well one to two summer/fall training camps.
The PG program is designed to offer a high level of training, building upon the athlete’s foundation of training to support college and national-level success. You can expect personalized attention and accountability to build upon your weaknesses and become a more confident, well-rounded, and self-aware athlete. Goals for athletes coming out of their PG year at BSF include having ownership of their training, awareness of their strengths and weaknesses as an athlete, and attention to the process that leads to successful racing.
PG athletes train as a group and also have many joint workouts with the BSF Pro Team (to learn from older athletes) and the Junior Team (to be leaders for the younger athletes). The PG training plan is tailored to individualized training hours (typically 500-700), and emphasizes base building and common-sense training.
The training free covers coaching, daily van travel, training wax, and gym use. Race trips and camps are billed separately. In a typical year with travel to West Yellowstone for Thanksgiving Camp, U.S. Nationals, Super Tours, and Spring Series, you can expect to pay an additional $3,000-$5,000 in race/trip expenses.
COST: September 1 - March 31: $4950
Sept- Dec or Dec - March: on a case by case basis
