Nordic Intro Kinders

Age 5 & in Kindergarten (as of January 1, 2027)
Beginner, Intermediate
Nordic
A playful introduction to classic cross country (i.e. Nordic) skiing, and no previous experience is necessary. These kinders will learn to get comfortable on skis through games and snow exploration, learning some basic balance and gliding skills. Must be at least age 5 and in Kindergarten.

Nordic Devo skiers (grades 4-8) are proficient in both classic and skate techniques and want to continue honing their skills.
For skiers who are ready for longer season, skiing 2-3 days/week. Fall training options also available.

The Nordic Prep Team is the bridge between the Devo Team & the Comp Team and is for athletes in grades 7-9 who want to increase their training and racing. Skiing 4 days a week, with fall and summer options available.

Advanced coaching for dedicated Nordic skiers in a strong team environment. Athletes receive individualized training plans and are encouraged (but not required) to compete in local and regional races. Year-round and seasonal options available.

For intermediate skiers (age 7-11) who are ready to expand their skiing, the BSF Club Team introduces kids to the fundamentals of Alpine racing (think gates) and Freestyle (moguls, beginner jumps, and terrain park features) in a fun, supportive team environment.

This Comp Team gives athletes ages 16+ the opportunity and support to train 3 to 5 days a week. In addition to growing the love of ski racing, BSF coaches provide individual training plans, dryland and strength training, and on-snow time.

Working in conjunction with Montana State University (MSU) and other programs, the Post Grad (PG) Program is designed to assist athletes in reaching their individual goals, whether they are trying to meet point profiles for collegiate skiing or U.S. Ski Team criteria.

A step up from the BSF Club Team: this is perfect for skiers who want to explore the mountain. Athletes will work on everything from catching air off natural features to developing strong technique in bumps, trees, and powder. We blend elements of Freestyle (moguls), Freeskiing (terrain park), and all-mountain skiing (Freeride), and you can move onto any of those Comp teams when you're ready.

For snowboarders ages 8-12 looking to develop into a stronger rider with hopes to potentially compete in the future. Riders will work to improve all-around riding skills, and have the option to compete in USASA snowboarding events, as well as local community events

Freeride Prep Team

This team is perfect for skiers and riders ages 12 to 15 who have finished BSF’s Freestyle or Alpine Devo programs (or equivalent) and are comfortable all over Bridger Bowl, including Ridge and Schlashmans. Build confidence on natural lines. Competitions are optional.

Train with both the BSF Freeskiing Team & the Freeride Team. We find that skiers on both sides benefit from honing their all-mountain and park/aerial maneuvers. This program allows athletes to develop their skiing/riding in both areas regardless of which competition path they see themselves heading down. At both Bridger Bowl & Big Sky Resort.

Skimo Rec Team

For skiers in grades 6-12 who want to develop agility, balance, strength, and coordination for Skimo skiing while having fun in a team environment. 2 days a week. No prior Skimo experience needed; you just need some proficiency in skiing downhill.
