The 2023 Northern Division Freestyle Championships took place at Bridger Bowl, February 25-26, 2023. This was the last opportunity for athletes to compete head-to-head for a start at the U.S. Freestyle Junior National Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, March 13-20.
BSF had 20 athletes in the event with other programs from Missoula and Lost Trail Powder Mtn. Saturday was a two-run best-of mogul event. On the women’s side Makayla Papke took the overall win. On the men's side BSF’s Oliver Lacey took the overall win.
Sundays event was a one-run single mogul event and then dual moguls. Makayla Papke took the overall win again, and Delaney English with her best overall performance was third in the singles event.
This event seeded the duals bracket and for the Men Ian Tuttle who was in the gate for the first time this season skied to a 3rd place overall placing. Oliver Goodell ended up in 6th and Henry Belote was 8th. On the women’s side Meg Papke took her first overall win in dual moguls. Makayla Papke earned a third place finish and Delaney English was in 4th. 7th place went to Angela Hartsell and Layla Hartley finished the day in 8th place.
