Our team and board of directors has a diligent plan to ensure that BSF can maintain capacity and quality programs as we grow. That means paying our core, full-time employees a wage that allows them to live in the area; continuing to expand scholarships; increases in program fees; and a strategic approach to raising funds that includes diverse funding sources. We planned a stepped increase in program fees in order to catch up with inflation. You'll see that prices will increase again in 2023-24, and after that, we anticipate fees to level off. (You can find a more detailed account of this plan in our Annual Report.)
*If these increases concern you, please be sure to apply for a scholarship.
All general BSF financial aid applications need to be submitted between Sept 1 and October 15.
For next season, we've set aside an unprecedented $50,000 for scholarships. We remind you that our scholarship committee takes a holistic view when awarding funds, taking into account income, unusual circumstances, financial obligations, and more. We encourage anyone who needs help covering the cost of a program to apply. Rest assured, our scholarship committee works independently, and no BSF coaches or current parents will view your application.
