BSF Alpine skiers snuck in two regional championships before all ski racing was cancelled for the remainder of the season due to COVID-19.
Maddy Ziegler earned a spot representing the Northern Division at the Western Region U16 Championships at Schweitzer in Idaho. With weather conditions challenging the organizers, Maddy was able to race in the Super Gs, placing 82nd and 72nd, before the slalom races were cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Nine Devo skiers and their families traveled to South Dakota for the Northern Division YSL Championships. They had some great individual and team performances during the weekend. Oliver Svensrud was the overall winner in the GS, beating out skiers in older age groups. Teamwise, both the men and women had several second and third place finishes in the team scoring.
