Bridger Ski Foundation is excited to welcome Nick and Tasha Foster to the coaching family. Nick will be taking over as the Alpine Program Director, starting in August. His wife, Tasha, will also be joining the Alpine staff.

Growing up in Twin Mountain, New Hampshire, Nick developed a passion for skiing at the age of two. He attended Cardigan Mountain School before finishing high school at New Hampton School, where he began competing in Alpine ski racing. While earning his Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of New Hampshire, Nick started his coaching career at Loon Mountain, progressing from coaching U10 and U12 athletes to serving as Head FIS Coach by the time he graduated.
Over the past two decades, Nick has built a diverse career in athlete development, program leadership, and race operations. His experience includes coaching FIS and Nor-Am athletes with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, leading world-class race venues for events including the FIS Alpine World Championships, Birds of Prey World Cups, and the Burton US Open, serving as Executive Director of the Tamarack Ski Team, and most recently leading the U16 program at Alyeska Ski Club in Alaska. Nick is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 300 Certified Coach and a Level 2 Technical Delegate, bringing extensive technical knowledge and a deep understanding of athlete development, competition management, and the sport's highest standards.
As Alpine Program Director, Nick believes that successful programs are built on strong relationships, clear communication, and a shared commitment to excellence. He is passionate about developing athletes at every level while mentoring coaches, supporting families, and creating an environment where hard work, accountability, sportsmanship, and a love for skiing go hand in hand. His leadership philosophy emphasizes long-term athlete development, technical progression, and fostering confidence both on and off the snow.
Nick is excited to join the Bridger Ski Foundation and work alongside its athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families to continue building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing alpine program. He says, “I look forward to honoring the organization's strong tradition while helping shape its future through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to developing exceptional people as well as exceptional ski racers.”

Tasha grew up in Minturn, Colorado, where she developed a passion for the outdoors and many sports including ski racing. She attended Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Physiology while playing four years of NCAA ice hockey. After college, Tasha returned to Colorado and worked with Vail Resorts' race department, helping deliver world-class alpine events including the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, World Cups, and U.S. Ski & Snowboard competitions. She also began her coaching career and continued to coach athletes across the country, including in Massachusetts, Colorado, Idaho, and most recently Alaska. At Alyeska Ski Club, Tasha coached the U16 program while also serving as the Alaska Alpine Division Manager. She holds a U.S. Ski & Snowboard L200 Alpine Coach certification and is excited to bring her passion for athlete development and alpine racing to Bridger Ski Foundation.
