On Tuesday, the best junior Nordic skiers in the nation gathered in Soldier Hollow, Utah, for day one of competition at the 2018 Cross Country Junior National Championships. Eleven skiers from the Bridger Ski Foundation qualified to attend the event.
This year’s championship will be a test in endurance, as athletes receive fewer rest days in between race this years. Tuesday’s distance race was followed by sprint heats and finals on Wednesday (results not available as of press time). On Friday, they’ll compete in a distance skate race, followed by team relays on Saturday.
